{"abstract":"This descriptive-correlational study addressed the need for printed learning materials in Entrepreneurship 9 by utilizing supplementary materials to develop competencies among 95 grade 9 students. The study determined learners' perceptions of the material's components using Frequency and Percentage, Mean and SD, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Most respondents were 14-year-old females. Students positively perceived the materials, strongly agreeing on clear objectives, instructions, examples, logical presentation, organization, proper spacing, readable fonts, and key concept coverage. The perception of learning material components was significantly related to developed supplementary materials, but not to oral presentation. While developed materials enhanced business planning skills, their impact on oral presentation skills was less significant. The hypothesis that learning material components are not significantly related to learning competencies in entrepreneurship was not sustained. No significant association was found between oral presentation performance and perception of learning material objectives (r = 0.075), content evaluation (r = 0.144), and learning reflection (r = 0.166). However, low correlations were found between oral presentation competency and components like topics (r = 0.286**), pedagogy (r = 0.236**), layout (r = 0.221*), adaptability (r = 0.303**), and user-friendliness (r = 0.273**). Enhancing curriculum design and learning materials could improve student performance and satisfaction.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Janen Galang"],"date":"2024-07-19","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.12778753","id":3264,"issue":4,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"694904a3c8d198a1da73733bdbb447622f31afbd4c762235e8df84f494b39586","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Utilization of Supplementary Material in Developing Learning Competencies in Entrepreneurship among Grade 9 Students","volume":22}
