{"abstract":"Intermediate learners at San Miguel Dao I Elementary School experienced a 2.25% decline in their Grade Weighted Average after modular remote learning, indicating a notable decline in academic performance. To address this, Project WAYS (Worksheets, Audio and Video Conferencing, YouTube links, and Self-Assessment) was implemented to enhance mathematics performance. This quantitative, quasi-experimental study involved intermediate learners (Grades 4, 5, and 6) during the 2022-2023 school year. Data was collected using pretest and posttest, covering the third quarter, and analyzed with a paired t-test in Microsoft Excel. Before Project WAYS, learners performed poorly in mathematics, not meeting expectations. After implementation, they still performed poorly and did not meet expectations. However, comparing pretest and posttest results revealed a better performance after Project WAYS. A significant difference was found between pretest and posttest results, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and demonstrating Project WAYS' effectiveness in enhancing intermediate learners' mathematical academic performance. The findings suggest that learning accompanied by suitable support mechanisms ensures wholesome accomplishments for learners.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Derick Villasoto"],"date":"2024-07-04","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.12640502","id":3176,"issue":7,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"d8b8873dea98712a6b01da18a0818b0f66c4fc073a17b36df347666e8ad8094c","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Mathematics Performance of Intermediate Learners through Project Ways","volume":21}
