{"abstract":"This study explored the impact of the DepEd Teacher Induction Program (TIP) and Induction Program for Beginning Teachers (IPBT) on the professional growth of beginning teachers in Trinidad Districts, Schools Division of Bohol, for the academic year 2021-2022. It investigated beginning teachers' experiences, administrators' and mentors' perceptions of program effectiveness, how IPBT addresses TIP's gaps, and implementation challenges. A descriptive-qualitative research design was used, involving 10 beginning teachers and 5 administrators from 30 schools in Trinidad I and II districts, Bohol, Philippines. Participants were purposefully selected based on their involvement in TIP and IPBT. Semi-structured interviews were the primary data collection method, and Reflexive Thematic Analysis identified patterns. Findings showed teachers' experiences revolved around learning and growth, support and community, and challenges and frustrations. Administrators and mentors perceived both programs as effective due to well-structured designs and comprehensive support. The IPBT addressed TIP's gaps by offering a systematic and tailored framework. Bottlenecks included a lack of qualified mentors, insufficient resources, coordination issues, and data gaps. Recommendations include strengthening mentorship, increasing resource allocation, enhancing coordination, implementing comprehensive data collection, and promoting networking.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Ledevi Santerva","Asuncion Pabalan","Jimmy Bucar"],"date":"2024-05-09","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.11145248","id":2888,"issue":7,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"04c2077b7fb05dc35b1baeeee4f6812919b5a534ef45cc882d3b59ffbe1db3ef","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"DEPED Induction Program: Implementation and Challenges","volume":19}
