{"abstract":"This narrative research investigated the research continuance and mobility of scholarly works in science education, examining its push and pull factors, thematic inferences, and influence on science and technology pedagogy. The study involved 17 Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education graduates from Southern Luzon State University (2012-2020), with data collected via interviews and interpreted using Braun and Clarke's (2006) thematic analysis. Findings showed that 65% of participants presented and utilized their work, and 24% published it. Push factors included social media for dissemination, various support, research usability, topic interest, curriculum improvement, opportunities, study inspiration, and self-motivation. Pull factors were personal factors, publication accessibility, research factors, time constraints, social factors, transportation availability, poor internet, institution factors, curriculum revision, and access to beneficiaries. Thematic inferences involved personal, school, and community implications. The influence on pedagogy included serving as reference, improving disciplines, technological advancement, and curriculum enhancement. These findings informed a proposed research continuance and mobility framework to promote utilization and dissemination of scholarly works in science education.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["John Chua"],"date":"2024-04-18","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.10993678","id":2814,"issue":1,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"e3b46b3cc41a883badd3b033ae542cce166c31232ab0b7be044e13367c631f28","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Research Continuance and Mobility of Scholarly Works in Science Education: Thematic Inferences to the Pedagogy","volume":19}
