Canonical JSON (keys sorted, no spaces, UTF-8). Its SHA-256 is the hash on chain. The abstract here is gemini shortened, not the author's own text.
{"abstract":"This quasi-experimental study investigated the effectiveness of adding drill and practice (DP) using online and offline mathematical applications to traditional classroom discussion for fourth-grade students' mastery of basic mathematical skills. The study compared traditional teaching methods (TTM) alone against TTM combined with DP, analyzing pretest and posttest scores, mean gain scores, and score differences. Eighty-seven students from two classes participated: a Control Group received TTM, and an Experimental Group received DP. Both TTM and DP approaches significantly increased students' mastery of basic mathematical skills, as evidenced by significant differences in pre-test and post-test means within each group. However, DP proved more effective in enhancing mastery compared to TTM, shown by a significant difference in their mean gain scores. The study recommends incorporating DP with online and offline math applications, providing tech-labs for students, training teachers in integrating math applications, and encouraging students to express learning preferences.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Igraine Lynnil Latumbo","Michael Cañada"],"date":"2024-04-18","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.10988986","id":2806,"issue":1,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"b0c576606bd95c7504b081cbe26d592404968ff63189e998bf716fff6bf4513e","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Online and Offline Mathematical Applications for Mastery of Basic Math Skills of Lower Grades Students","volume":19}
