Participants included three mothers from Laura Vicuña Foundation, four from Palayan City Home for Girls, and three from NCR, all referred due to incest cases. The mothers, aged 40-59, described their experiences before, during, and after disclosure as painful, unbelievable, and unexpected. Key themes of time, person, and event led to the discovery of abuse and mothers' subsequent strong responses. During disclosure, mothers exhibited anger, pain, confusion, jealousy, shame, and strength, ultimately deciding to pursue justice for their daughters. The aftershock of disclosure revealed mothers acting as their daughters' emotional support, protection, and advocates. Both mothers and daughters demonstrated continuous determination to move forward.
