{"abstract":"This study investigated the influence of academic and emotional self-efficacy on students' mathematics motivation in the new normal learning environment. The primary objective was to determine if academic and emotional self-efficacy significantly influence student mathematics motivation. The study also aimed to describe the levels of academic self-efficacy, emotional self-efficacy, and student mathematics motivation, and to determine the relationship between these variables. Conducted in selected high schools of Governor Generoso, North District, Division of Davao Oriental, the study involved 348 student respondents selected via random sampling. Data were collected using a descriptive questionnaire survey and analyzed with mean, Pearson-r, and multiple regression analysis. The descriptive equivalent levels for academic self-efficacy, emotional self-efficacy, and student mathematics motivation were found to be high, indicating they are often, oftentimes, and most of the time manifested, respectively. The indicators of these variables showed a significant and positive correlation, suggesting that higher levels of academic and emotional self-efficacy correspond to higher achievement motivation. All indicators of academic and emotional self-efficacy significantly influenced student mathematics motivation, with the exception of \"identifying and understanding emotions,\" an indicator of emotional self-efficacy. The findings conclude that an increase in academic and emotional self-efficacy levels leads to an increase in students' mathematics motivation.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Mary Joy Nazareth-Tanaid","Mervin Osic"],"date":"2023-12-19","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.10405764","id":2347,"issue":9,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"77ad39174dee05ac52341f478b857ced24f7c9d7bb8032a2fa91dfcf69dccc82","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Influence of Academic and Emotional Self-Efficacy on Students Mathematics Motivation in the New Normal Learning","volume":15}
