{"abstract":"This quasi-experimental pretest-posttest study investigated the effects of Electronic Learning Activity Sheets (e-LAS) on the academic performance and attitude of 61 Grade 10 Science students at Silae National High School during the 2022-2023 school year. Researchers developed e-LAS for five modules, focusing on least mastered competencies identified by the 2022 Basic Education Learning Assessment (BELA). These e-LAS included objectives, lesson presentations, practice exercises, and evaluations. A panel of experts evaluated the developed lessons and a 30-item academic performance test. An adapted attitude scale, with a Cronbach-alpha of 0.863 from pilot testing, assessed student attitudes toward Science using e-LAS. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and one-way ANCOVA at a 0.028 significance level. Results showed the experimental group's post-test performance was outstanding, compared to the control group's very satisfactory performance. A significant difference in academic performance was found between students taught with e-LAS and those taught conventionally. The experimental group also exhibited a very high positive attitude toward Science. The study concluded that using e-LAS is effective in improving students' academic performance and attitude.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Janryl Louis Okit","Joy Miñoza","Jessie Lei Faith Bentuan"],"date":"2023-10-31","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.10056335","id":2179,"issue":9,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"6cae24444a83f54b7ea312d537e4efb807933d44b4f06e81e719c58ab3b76e46","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Electronic Learning Activity Sheets (e-LAS): Its Effect on the Academic Performance and Attitude of Grade 10 Science Students","volume":14}
