{"abstract":"This descriptive study determined the effectiveness of information and communication technology (ICT) utilization concerning pupils’ academic performance in Binalbagan District II. The respondents were 60 teachers from 14 public elementary schools in Binalbagan District II. A researcher-made questionnaire was used, with statistical analysis employing frequency, percentage, mean, Mann Whitney U Test, and Pearson’s r. Findings showed that the majority of teacher respondents were 39 years old and above, had 14 years and above length of service, held bachelor’s degrees, and had both higher and lower incomes. The extent of effectiveness of ICT utilization in planning, delivery, and monitoring and evaluation of lessons was highly effective, both overall and when grouped by teacher variables. Pupils’ academic performance was satisfactory. No significant difference was found in the extent of effectiveness of teachers’ ICT utilization in terms of age and length of service for lesson planning and delivery. However, there was a significant difference in the extent of effectiveness of teachers’ ICT utilization according to variables in the area of monitoring and assessment. No significant relationship was found between the extent of effectiveness of ICT utilization and pupils’ academic performance. The most common problem encountered by teachers was the lack of adequate ICT equipment.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Athena Lourdes Esmaquilan","Josyl Edaño","Josielee Grace Vasquez"],"date":"2023-10-23","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.10032222","id":2166,"issue":6,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"cf23b9dcb4b2028480d3cd6295ec2bd3634521297d51a558589109f56fd4ef98","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Effectiveness of the Utilization of Information and Communication Technology in Relation to the Pupils’ Academic Performance: Basis for Enhancement Program","volume":14}
