{"abstract":"This descriptive correlational study investigated the implementation of the Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Work Immersion Program in senior high schools across Marikina City, Pasig City, and Makati City during the 2022-2023 school year, correlating it with students’ employability competencies and satisfaction. Data were collected from 44 work immersion teachers, 327 students, and 57 industry partners using a survey questionnaire. Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences in perceptions among students, teachers, and industry partners regarding overall TVL work immersion implementation (F values of 3.00, 1.19, 2.25, 2.87), but significant differences were found concerning students’ progress/performance and work immersion supervision (F values of 7.39, 6.85). There was no significant difference in perceptions of students' basic and common employability competencies (Z values of 0.45, 0.93), but a significant difference existed between teachers' and industry partners' perceptions (Z values of 4.15, 3.81). A moderate significant relationship was found between work immersion implementation and administrative concerns on basic employability competencies (Pearson r of 0.7, t value of 11.34). For core employability competencies in Bread and Pastry Production and Food and Beverage Services, a weak significant relationship was observed across several aspects (Pearson r’s from 2.27 to 3.36, t values from 2.80 to 3.86). Food and Beverage Services competencies showed a moderate significant relationship in delivery process, students’ progress/performance, and work immersion supervision (Pearson r’s from 0.40 to 4.9, t values from 5.18 to 5.77). A very low or negligible relationship was found for Bread and Pastry Production and Food and Beverage Services (Pearson r’s of 0.10 to 0.01, t values of 0.10, 1.01). Students’ satisfaction had a moderate relationship with TVL work immersion implementation across various aspects (Pearson r’s from 0.42 to 0.59, t values from 8.34 to 13.17). The study proposes Work Immersion Implementation Exemplars to enhance the program.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Ernani Jaime"],"date":"2023-09-14","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.8345217","id":1982,"issue":5,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"933f2f65c44c7c10ada8f276aa49e2d84e574f89d37eac4ab3804aabb4227d6b","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Technical Vocational Livelihood Work Immersion, Students’ Employability Competencies, and Satisfaction: Towards a Proposed Innovative Implementation Exemplars","volume":13}
