{"abstract":"This descriptive survey study investigated the relationship between Grade 6 pupils’ study habits in blended learning and their academic performance in Mathematics and English at Balara Elementary School, Quezon City, during the School Year 2022-2023. A total of 230 Grade 6 pupils, selected using cluster-random sampling from 13 sections, participated. Respondents were described by age, sex, family income, and parents’ educational attainment. Findings indicated that students agreed their online and face-to-face classes had proper time management, necessary learning materials, and an acceptable learning environment. Respondents also maintained good grades in Mathematics and English over three school years, with a high positive correlation between their grades in these subjects. In the online mode, there was a negligible negative correlation (r = -0.72) between study habits in time management and academic performance, a high positive correlation (r = .708) for learning materials, and a low positive correlation (r = .492) for learning materials. In the face-to-face mode, there was a high positive correlation (r = .727) for time management, a low positive correlation (r = .473) for learning materials, and a high positive correlation (r = .771) for learning environment. No significant difference was found in the assessment of study habits across respondent profiles.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Etheyl Solano"],"date":"2023-08-06","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.8218755","id":1763,"issue":9,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"14ab1d8f9290d610a5dc7b698afffc1f9321bb8729f116c8d416b69fc6263336","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Pupils’ Study Habits in Blended Learning Modality and their Academic Performance in Mathematics and English: Inputs for an Intervention Program","volume":11}
