{"abstract":"This qualitative-phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of ten purposely selected high school teachers regarding their well-being, stress management, contributing factors, coping strategies, and performance in the new normal. Teachers reported stress factors such as heavy workloads, additional paperwork, urgent report submissions, time pressure, financial constraints, students’ performance and behavioral issues, overlapping tasks, and a lack of robust support. These factors led to being unfocused, difficulties managing large numbers of learners, body fatigue, physical sickness, lack of sleep, headaches, and compromised family time due to work brought home. To cope, teachers employed strategies like taking breaks, meditation, watching TV, eating favorite foods, listening to music and spiritual sermons, increasing intrinsic motivation, being resourceful, and talking to trusted individuals. Despite daily work stress, teachers maintained very satisfactory (VS) performance ratings.
