Challenges included a lack of LGU support for schools with underweight pupils, moderate misappropriation of funds, and an inactive Gulayan sa Paaralan Program. Most administrators agreed that pupil nutritional status was not properly assessed and that neither parents nor students received seminars on balanced diets, despite administrators visiting SBFP kitchens. A direct correlation was found between the degree of SBFP implementation and challenges faced.
