{"abstract":"This study investigated Social Studies teachers' perspectives and preparedness for online learning in national high schools in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, during the 2020-2021 School Year. A total of 96 Social Studies teachers from six national schools were selected using purposive sampling. The study described teacher profiles by age, gender, civil status, and educational attainment, and assessed their perspectives on online learning in terms of access, interaction, response, and results, as well as their preparedness for online learning. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, and ANOVA. The majority of teachers were female, in middle adulthood, single, and held bachelor's degrees. Teachers showed a great extent of access and interaction with online learning, and a moderate extent of responses and results, indicating certainty in online learning as a platform during the pandemic. Teachers' preparedness for online learning yielded positive results across all indicators, suggesting they view it as a powerful teaching tool. A significant difference in preparedness was found when teachers were grouped by age, with younger teachers being more ready. However, no significant differences were observed based on sex, civil status, or educational attainment. The findings suggest that school administrators should focus on helping teachers acquire and sharpen skills for this new learning approach.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Leah Clotario","Lorenzo Capacio"],"date":"2026-10-28","doi":"10.70838/PEMJ.640810","id":11153,"issue":8,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"93c5d39e72d9260933cd3f2b304fa03410d2b7868b1af6771ffc0ca991caca19","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Teachers’ Perspective and Preparedness Towards Online Learning in Social Studies","volume":64}
